Why we do what we do

When I was 17 years old, I was attacked by a group of grown men because of the color of my skin. They beat me and left me for dead.

As a result of this experience, I spent a lot of years thinking that there was something wrong with me. It wasn’t just what they did to me, it was what they said to me. It deeply damaged my beliefs about myself and my own worthiness. That’s something I carried with me for a long time, and it limited me.

Then one day, I met a mentor who cared enough to help me change my life. When I asked him how I could repay him, he said “Do the same thing I did for you for as many people as possible, and do it for the rest of your life.”

It’s something I’ve done every day since as a high-performance coach, mentor, and neuropsychologist, and I’m proud to say that I’ve helped millions of people around the world as a result.

At the same time, there’s only so much I can do as one person, which is why I co-founded The Neuroencoding Institute with my business partners Kay Salerno and Shila Morris.

By teaching others to use the same proprietary methods I’ve used to change people’s lives for over 35 years now, I’ve exponentially increased my impact and created a legacy that has empowered a whole new generation of changemakers, speakers, and coaches to do the same.
